In evil dead 1 and 2 when someone is converted their eyes change to white (or milky pink in evil dead 1). I find it very annoying that A.O.D didnt have sheilas eyes turn white. Having her have her human eyes humanizes her too much and the audience doesn't see her as a threat. This is even worse when the trilogy is edited together into one 4 hour super cut

Well, same with Evil Ash….The point is MAYBE this is have to do with demons hierarchy. Unfortunately, this was never explained by the creators, but we could think white eyes demons are weak demons who don’t have total control over human soul and body. Most of the time they are disjointed and distorted, even if they are sometimes acrobatic. Color eyed demons are probably more powerful and have more control. So more control they have more they can behave like a human being for a longest period. This is a fan theory only…

Late to this convo (been away a while) but their eyes are not actually an error - they are a different type of demon. Remember the term 'Deadite' is actually just a medieval group term to describe anything summoned from the book, that Ash adopted and used in 'Ash vs Evil Dead' - there is no mention of /indication that the word was ever in the book. In Evil Dead 1 and 2, Kandarian demons are released. As detailed in the pages of the book, those possessed by these spirits can be identified by their milky white eyes. They are the dark spirits that reside in forests and the dark bowers of man's domain. This is reiterated when we see Ash chased by one in the forest in 'Army of Darkness' (the evil force) and in 'Ash vs Evil Dead' we see it has a misty appearence the corresponds to eye colour. In contrast, Eligos, a demon of the mind, was released as a black swirling force, and upon possessing hosts had black eyes. The abomination in Evil Dead (2013) was not seen physically in its 'Evil force' form, but all 5 hosts had yellowed /red eyes and retained pupils... Now onto Evil Ash and Sheila in 'Army of Darkness', when Ash mispoke the words at the cradle, the army of the dead awoke - the army weren't Kandarian demons, Ash and Sheila's eyes represent that of what they were possessed by. :)
