Serving Deadites For Over A Decade

Deadites Online is the premiere fan resource website dedicated to bringing fans of Sam Raimi's cult classic Evil Dead films the latest news, information, and multimedia. Serving fans for over a decade, Deadites Online was established in the summer of 1997 by Kain Vuong as a small fan site originally called Ash's Evil Dead Page. Ash's Evil Dead Page was inspired by Paul Petzrick's Evil Dead Interactive and other Evil Dead fan sites at the time. The site featured information and screenshots from the films. Ash's Evil Dead Page eventually evolved into a full fledge news and resource site with the re-releases of the Evil Dead films on VHS and DVD by Anchor Bay Entertainment.

By chance Ash's Evil Dead Page was contacted by Tom Sullivan, special f/x makeup genius and illustrator for the first Evil Dead film, who offered to give us an exclusive interview. The famous interview conducted by Cliff Holverson helped attract more people to site. The interview was even referenced in Bill Warren's The Evil Dead Companion book.

The next few years the popularity of Evil Dead increased full force with introduction of new Evil Dead merchandise such as t-shirts, action figures, and video games. The site grew bigger and added more content. As the site grew, a worldwide online community of fans sprung from the site. Kain eventually decided to change the name of Ash's Evil Dead Page to Deadites Online to better fit this community. Deadites Online gained reputability by making it onto Anchor Bay Entertainment's Limited Edition Book of Dead Evil Dead DVD. Deadites Online continues to grow each day with old and new fans.
